There are those who tell the story, the tradition and the passion with words; Cantina Librandi has chosen to do it through wine. In Cirò, a magnificent corner of Calabria, hard wines are born with a history behind them; it is here, from soils rich in sandstone, that Mantonico is born, a historic Calabrian autochthonous vine.
The harvest takes place during the last ten days of September and the first ten days of October. This is followed by a delicate pressing of the grapes and fermentation in Allier barriques, with aging on the lees for about 6 months, and a further 6 months in the bottle before being put on the market.
A wine that in the glass has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it conquers with its rich aromas fresh grass vegetables that intersect with notes of sage and hints of white fruit.
A white complex, consistent on the palate and of great longevity. The harmonious and juicy taste, the good structure and persistence in the mouth, make it an excellent glass in combination with courses based on fish, cooked or raw, fresh cheeses and first courses dressed with light sauces.
