Zaccagnini offers a solution that combines practicality with quality-price; the berries used are those of the Abruzzo Montepulciano grown with the espalier and tendone training system, on medium-textured clayey soil. The grape harvest is usually medium-late; upon arrival in the cellar the bunches undergo a soft pressing, submerged cap maceration with controlled temperature fermentation and racking. Maturation and refinement take place in stainless steel tanks.
When poured, it shows a purple-red color with violet reflections. The nose comes with sinuous aromas of red berries and spicy notes of white pepper. The sip reveals a vibrant body of medium structure.
A red wine that is good immediately, but also long-lived. Excellent table wine that lends itself well to pairing with land-based dishes and cheeses.
