The iron and aluminum-rich soils of Corona, a small hamlet in the province of Gorizia, represent the ideal area for growing Cabernet Franc grapes. The production of this wine is one of the oldest in the winery and began well in 1927, when Francesco Luisa planted the first vines. The Cabernet Franc is vinified by letting the skins ferment for about 12 days at 25/26°C. After being bottled, the wine is then left to rest for another 3 months before being put on the market.
The result is a drink with a typical intense ruby red colour. Its perfume is, however, characterized by herbaceous notes. On the palate it is like a full-bodied, slightly acidic wine.
This wine is excellent when accompanied by meat.
