Nastro Azzurro was born as a Premium beer by Peroni in 1963, and immediately became a symbol of Italianness! The name is inspired by the transatlantic Rex, the ship that in 1933 was awarded because it managed to cross the Atlantic in the shortest time possible.
The suggestive label immediately brings to mind the Mediterranean sea and summer, elements that characterize it. Its unique taste is its distinctive brand, a beer with a dry and hoppy taste, fragrant and extremely thirst-quenching, very refreshing, and perfectly suited for our Mediterranean climate, a label that represents us very well in the world.
In the glass it shows its brilliant, intense golden yellow colour, clear and limpid, with a beautiful, moderately persistent white foam.
The nose captures aromas of sweet brioche, leavened dough and bread crust, on a floral background of white flowers and citrus fruits. The taste is linear, simple and effective in freshness, with a good balance of the final bitter note. Perfectly refreshing result.
A versatile and drinkable drink. Excellent paired with provola focaccia and mortadella.
