Malvasia is one of the characteristic vines of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the region in which this wine of Tenuta Luisa is also made. More specifically, the grapes of the white wines of Tenuta Luisa, including Malvasia, are grown in the soils rich in potassium and phosphorus of the Cormôns. The name of this particular vineyard comes from Monemvasia, an ancient port in the Peloponnese. Malvasia is made thanks to a cold maceration and a 15-day fermentation in a controlled temperature environment. To complete the production process, it is aged on noble lees for 5 months and in the bottle for another 2 months.
This wine with a bright golden yellow color has an unmistakable aroma of citrus fruits, hay and spices. When tasted, the palate will be struck by the simplicity and freshness of this wine.
Malvasia is excellent to combine with fish-based dishes and with an aperitif.
