Cantina Bertani, an old winery that originated in 1857. Let's talk about who, perhaps, even invented Amarone.
A tradition that arises from the Respect of wines to allow them to develop all their qualitative potential in the best possible way. The musts entrusted to slow fermentation, sometimes even more than 50 days, in concrete tanks. A courageous choice, full of risks, sustained in the belief that only in this way are high contents in superior alcohols and glycerin obtained, a guarantee of the richness and elegance of the aromas. Refinements, therefore, never less than 7 years in Slavonian oak barrels and another 12 months in bottle.
The 1964 vintage, characterized by low rainfall and average temperatures, also has a much lower acid sensation than other vintages.
The emblem of Amarone, a red that in the glass has a garnet color with bright golden reflections, and characterized by extremely complex and seductive scents. A meditation wine characterized by a large and elegant bouquet, defined by hints of plum, dried fruit and medlar, which on the finish give way to tobacco and dried figs.
On the palate it is portentous, warm and enveloping. An intense wine but with soft tannins, with hints of almond and medlar, to be tasted slowly to savor the fundamentals of its roots that have now become legend.
A bottle of quality and great value, a rare collector's item that will not only enrich your personal cellar, but also the palate and flavorful sensations.
