This wine is produced in the renowned Valpolicella area, primarily using Corvina grapes, accompanied by Rondinella and other local varieties, following the Ripasso method which involves a second fermentation on the pomace of Amarone or Recioto.
The texture of this exquisite Ripasso begins with a deep ruby red color that immediately invites tasting. On the nose, seductive aromas of black cherry, dried plum, and sweet spices such as vanilla and clove unfold, which are the result of 18 months of aging in oak barrels.
On the palate, La Cengia - Begali reveals itself as structured and complex, with a perfect balance between lively acids and soft tannins. The fruity notes blend with touches of chocolate and tobacco, leading to a long and pleasantly lingering finish.
