The grape harvest takes place from mid-October. The carefully selected grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with maceration in the presence of the skins for about 20 days. After racking, the wine completes its alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, and is then left to refine in 50 hl oak barrels for about 12 months. The wine is then decanted and subsequently bottled and aged in the bottle for about 6 months.
A wine that stands out in the glass for its intense ruby red colour. The nose offers intense and fruity aromas of plums and dark fruits, which gently combine with light floral hints of violet and sweet spices including vanilla and cloves. On the palate it is harmonious, full and enveloping.
A glass that from the first sip is velvety, rightly tannic, and with a good degree of persistence. At the table it is much appreciated in combination with well-aged cheeses, first courses with meat sauces and white or red meat dishes.
