The Benedictine abbesses managed L'Abbaye de Forest for many centuries, and as true entrepreneurs, they involved local artisans in the production of beer. Even today, beer is still produced with respect for tradition, a unique drink that stands out for its characteristic light and refreshing flavour.
Shows a beautiful amber color. Produced with the high fermentation method. On the nose there are marked fruity and citrus scents, with inviting and pleasant aromas, and light honey notes. The taste is decidedly balanced and refreshing, with pleasant fruity notes of apricot and hints of honey. Perceptible and quite persistent bitterness.
In 2008 and 2009 Abbaye de Forest was awarded the bronze medal in the category of abbey beers at the Australian International Beer Award.
