Guinness West Indies Porter comes from an 1801 recipe, designed for the need and desire to export it all over the world.
The mother of Foreign Extra Stout was the first beer that started it all, it was made with a higher percentage of hops to preserve it during long sea voyages lasting four to five weeks in tropical climates.
Guinness West Indies Porter is a top-fermented beer, with classic bitterness and a delicate sweet caramel taste, as well as a touch of acidity and an intense ruby red colour.
With a higher alcohol content and a decidedly unique tasty chocolaty finish, it proves to be an absolutely must-try beer.
