Today, Sagrantino di Montefalco, with just over 600 hectares of vineyards in production, stands out as the most famous and admired Umbrian wine. Its fame is attributable to its exceptional intensity, concentration and remarkable aging capacity, thanks to the high content of polyphenols.
The color of the wine is a deep ruby. As for the scent, fascinating aromas of cherries, blackberries, currants, blueberries reveal themselves, all enriched by light floral notes and dark spices. A light balsamic touch anticipates a taste of extraordinary strength and balance, fresh and tasty, characterized by a tannic texture of extraordinary elegance that fades into a long and pleasantly fruity finish.
