The Montefalco Rosso DOC by Terrebianche, produced by the Cesarini Sartori winery, is an elegant and intensely structured red wine that embodies the essence of Umbrian viticulture. This wine is renowned for its distinctive blend: primarily Sangiovese, complemented by Sagrantino and other local red varieties, which together create a perfect balance of flavor.

The color is a deep ruby red, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, Montefalco Rosso DOC offers a varied bouquet where notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight hint of tobacco and leather emerge, a result of its maturation in barriques. On the palate, the wine expresses itself with refined robustness, showing a full body, well-integrated tannins, and a persistent acidic freshness that invites a second sip.

The vinification follows traditional methods that respect the rhythm of nature. Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matures in oak barrels for at least 18 months, followed by further aging in the bottle, which enhances its complexity and longevity.

Ideal for pairing with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, the Montefalco Rosso DOC by Terrebianche - Cesarini Sartori is perfect for those seeking a wine that combines tradition and quality. This wine, therefore, not only satisfies the palate but also represents a journey into the green heart of Italy, among history, culture, and a passion for winemaking. A true treasure to discover and value in every cellar.

Winery history
The estate was established through the commitment of the Cesarini Sartori family: Luciano Cesarini, Giuseppe Cesarini and Fiorella Sartori left previous careers in the late 1990s to return to rural life and focus on viticulture in Bastardo. Luciano applied his engineering expertise to the design of a highly automated, precisely controlled winery, intended to manage the winemaking processes with accuracy.

It also develops circular-economy projects and applied research in collaboration with universities and a start-up dedicated to adding value to vine residues.
