The Benozzo Umbria IGT Rosso from the Cesarini Sartori winery is a wine that captures the essence of the Umbrian territory, balancing tradition and innovation. This red wine stands out for its bold character and complex structure, making it ideal for accompanying an important dinner or for enjoying during a moment of relaxation.

Produced with a careful selection of Sangiovese and Merlot grapes, the winemaking of Benozzo follows traditional methods that enhance its quality and authenticity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels that impart spicy notes and greater aromatic complexity to the wine.

Visually, Benozzo presents an intense ruby red color, with reflections that tend toward garnet as it ages. The bouquet is rich, with aromas of ripe red fruits, notes of sweet spices like vanilla, and light nuances of leather and tobacco, resulting from its evolution in barrels.

On the palate, the wine is robust yet balanced, with well-present tannins that are soft and harmonize gracefully with the typical acidity of Umbrian wines. The finish is persistent, leaving a pleasant sensation of warmth and complexity that invites another sip.

Benozzo Umbria IGT Rosso is perfect for serving with rich meat dishes, such as roast lamb or Florentine steak. It is also an excellent companion for aged cheeses and savory dishes from Umbrian cuisine. To fully appreciate it, it is recommended to open the bottle at least an hour before consumption and serve it at a temperature of 18°C.

Winery history
The estate was established through the commitment of the Cesarini Sartori family: Luciano Cesarini, Giuseppe Cesarini and Fiorella Sartori left previous careers in the late 1990s to return to rural life and focus on viticulture in Bastardo. It also develops circular-economy projects and applied research in collaboration with universities and a start-up dedicated to adding value to vine residues.
