The Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice by Melini is born in the heart of Chianti Classico, a renowned area for the production of traditional sweet wines with great character. This precious nectar is obtained mainly from dried Sangiovese grapes, following an ancient method that enhances the sweetness of the berries and concentrates their aromas and flavors. The name “Occhio di Pernice” refers to the amber-pink color typical of this rarer and more precious version of Vin Santo.

The long aging in wooden barrels gives this Vin Santo a velvety and authentically enveloping structure, with notes of dried fruit, honey, sweet spices, and a slight almond nuance. The olfactory complexity elegantly pairs with a soft balance on the palate.

Perfect as a meditation wine or to accompany traditional Tuscan desserts, aged cheeses, or small chocolate delights, it represents a precious expression of the Chianti area and its expert winemaking tradition.
