The Bandol Rosé L’Irréductible from Domaine de la Begude is a wine that captures the essence of the unique terroir of Bandol, one of the most prestigious regions in Provence. This rosé is made primarily with Mourvèdre grapes, which give the wine a robust structure and a remarkable aging potential, along with Grenache and Cinsault that add delicacy and floral notes.

The color is a pale, almost ethereal pink, hinting at the freshness and elegance found on the palate. On the nose, intense aromas of fresh red fruits, such as strawberries and cherries, emerge, accompanied by hints of white flowers and a slight touch of Mediterranean spices. On the palate, the wine is lively and well-balanced, with a pleasant acidity leading to a long, slightly mineral finish.

The Bandol Rosé L’Irréductible is ideal to serve as an aperitif or accompanied by light summer dishes, seafood, or exotic cuisine. This wine not only represents excellence in Provençal winemaking but is also an example of how rosé can be both complex and memorable.

Main production under AOP Bandol. Approximately a 50-hectare vineyard within a larger estate. Predominance of Mourvèdre in the blend. Official transition to biodynamic practices under the Demeter label. Management focused on minimal cellar interventions and tailored winemaking.
Winery history
An estate with historical roots in the region, Domaine de La Bégude was managed by the Tari family until 2022; in September 2022 the property was acquired by the Roulleau family. The Domaine's official dossier also describes earlier phases of restructuring and a long agricultural tradition linked to viticulture and olive growing in the Bandol / Sainte-Baume area.
Production philosophy
Agricultural approach focused on minimal interference: agronomic practices that respect biodiversity, hand harvesting, parcel-by-parcel selection and minimal-intervention winemaking. The Domaine has obtained organic certifications and has begun conversion to biodynamics/Demeter certification to best express the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Bandol appellation in southern France, the estate farms terraced parcels and benefits from pronounced diurnal temperature variations and Mediterranean winds. The vineyard sits within a large protected landscape near the Sainte-Baume massif and Natura 2000 areas.
