Lunaria is a winery distinguished for its organic and biodynamic philosophy, located in the vibrant countryside of Abruzzo. The Sauvignon Blanc IGT from Ronchi di Castelluccio is an excellent example of this winery's ability to produce wines that not only respect the environment but also celebrate the pure expression of the grape variety and the terroir.

This Sauvignon Blanc has a light straw-yellow color, typical of the variety, with green reflections suggesting its freshness and vitality. On the nose, the bouquet is intensely aromatic: notes of tropical fruit blend with nuances of aromatic herbs like basil and floral hints, distinctive characteristics that define the complexity of this varietal.

On the palate, the acidic freshness is balanced by a moderate structure leading to a persistently aromatic finish. Notes of ripe fruit such as kiwi and melon blend with hints of green bell pepper, giving the wine pleasant complexity and a length in the mouth that stimulates the appetite.

Perfect as an aperitif, this Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with fish dishes, seafood, or as an accompaniment to fresh cheeses and light vegetarian dishes. Its liveliness also makes it suitable for enjoying on its own as a moment of pure sensory pleasure.

By opting for this Sauvignon Blanc IGT from Lunaria, you are choosing a wine that reflects a respect for nature and a passion for responsible, quality viticulture. An excellent addition to any occasion, always ensuring a memorable and sustainable tasting experience.

Ronchi di Castelluccio – Winery in Emilia-Romagna

Discover the story and wines of Ronchi di Castelluccio.

Historic winery in Modigliana (FC) that produces wines from single parcels (the "Ronchi"), with attention to zonation and micro-vinifications.
Region: Emilia-Romagna
Country: Italia
Founded: 1974
Grapes: Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon
Production concentrated on individual vineyard parcels named "Ronchi." Ronco del Re: flagship Sauvignon Blanc made from very old vines Micro-vinifications and ageing in barriques with controlled toasting. Revitalization and acquisition of the estate by brothers Aldo and Paolo Rametta in 2020. Hospitality services and on-site visits; alpacas are also present on the estate.
Winery history
Born in the 1970s as the visionary project of Gian Vittorio Baldi, Ronchi di Castelluccio was among the first in Romagna to offer quality wines tied to individual vineyards. After a period of change, ownership and the relaunch passed to brothers Aldo and Paolo Rametta in 2020, who resumed parcel-by-parcel winemaking while preserving the winery’s original focus on the local terroir.
Production philosophy
The estate works to express the character of each cru: manual vineyard practices, separate small-scale vinifications, low yields and a winemaking approach that favors controlled fermentations and subtle wood aging. Attention is focused on reading the soils and the precise selection of parcels to highlight the uniqueness of each vineyard.
Terroir and vineyards
Located on the wooded slopes of the Romagna Apennines, in Modigliana in the Acerreta Valley, the area is characterized by sandstone and marl soils and by the moderating influence of the Adriatic breeze. The landscape consists of small parcels carved out of the woodland, producing wines closely tied to precise plots.
