Produced with 50% Chardonnay and 50% Grechetto Gentile, BorgoFriano is an excellent wine that combines the elegance of a great international grape variety with the local frankness of Rebola Rimini, so called Grechetto in these parts.
The vineyards are grown near the Friano stream, on medium clayey soil, at an altitude of 50-60 m a.s.l., with south-west exposure and Guyot training. The vines are treated with sulphur, copper and natural preparations, fertilized with compost and green manure of wild herbs. The harvest is carried out manually towards the fourth week of August, in the cellar the bunches undergo a soft pneumatic pressing, with vinification in temperature-controlled steel vats and steel microfiltration on the lees of 50% only free-run must.
A good white wine with a straw yellow colour. Fine and medium-bodied, a magical union that gives rise to a product with great freshness, rich in fruity and floral scents.
Perfect both as an aperitif and throughout the meal, excellent with appetizers and raw fish.
