The Notorius Vino Passito Liquoroso 2005 from Avanzi is a true gem for lovers of sweet and aromatic wines. This passito liqueur wine was produced on the shores of Lake Garda, a region renowned for its high-quality wines thanks to its favorable climate and ideal terrain.

The 2005 harvest was particularly favorable, allowing the grapes to ripen perfectly and concentrate all their sugars and aromas. Once harvested, the grapes were left to dry on racks, losing water and intensifying their flavors. Fermentation was halted to maintain a high sugar residue, typical of liqueur wines.

Upon tasting, Notorius reveals an intriguing complexity. The color is a rich amber, a testament to its aging. On the nose, intense notes of ripe fruit such as apricot and figs stand out, along with hints of honey and vanilla, inherited from its aging in barrique. On the palate, it is velvety and rich, with a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity that invites a second sip. The finish is long and persistent, with a lingering aftertaste that recalls fruity and spicy sweet aromas.

This wine is ideal to accompany desserts like fruit tarts or blue cheeses, or to be enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine at the end of a meal. Its richness also makes it a perfect candidate for aging, capable of developing further aromatic nuances over the years. A true jewel from the Avanzi cellar, which tells of the passion and winemaking tradition of the family.
