Distilled in small batches, this spirit stands out for its 57% alcohol strength, typical of the historic "Navy Strength" that were transported on the British fleet.
This remarkable gin derives its name from its unique resting process in terracotta amphorae, an ancient technique that imparts a unique smoothness to the spirit and intensifies its botanical aromas. The ingredients, meticulously selected, include coriander, angelica root, cassia, juniper berries, and a selection of local herbs harvested from the Tuscan countryside surrounding the distillery.
On the nose, Ginpepraio Amphora offers rich and vibrant scents, with clear notes of juniper and a subtle aroma of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it opens with a powerful yet balanced taste, where the complexity of the spices and the prominence of the juniper blend wonderfully with a slightly earthy and unique aftertaste, given by the aging in amphora.
