The Rosso di Montalcino DOC from Fattoria dei Barbi is an elegant and vibrant red wine, rich in history and tradition, which continues the quality heritage of Tuscany. This wine originates from the vineyards located in the charming hills of Montalcino, where the clay-limestone soil and the temperate climate create the ideal conditions for the cultivation of Sangiovese.

Manual harvesting ensures a careful selection of the grapes, which after collection undergo a meticulous winemaking process. The wine is then briefly aged in oak barrels, which helps to preserve the freshness of the fruit and adds a subtle spicy note without overpowering its liveliness.

Visually, the Rosso di Montalcino displays a bright ruby red color, tending towards garnet with aging. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of mature red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, floral accents of violets, and nuances of aromatic herbs and wet earth, typical of the Montalcino area. On the palate, the wine is robust yet harmonious, balanced, with soft tannins, and a pleasant acidity that promises good aging potential. The finish is persistent, leaving a pleasant sensation of cleanliness and freshness.

Ideal to pair with dishes of roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Rosso di Montalcino DOC by Fattoria dei Barbi is a wine that can be enjoyed young but has the potential to evolve beautifully for several years in the cellar. A distinct addition to any wine collection, reflecting the essence of Tuscan viticulture with modernity and respect for tradition.
