Pinot Blanc was brought to the Alto Adige area by Archduke John of Austria in 1852, it was immediately so successful that the region became his territory of choice. The vineyards where the grapes of the Kaltern winery are grown are located between 450 and 600 m above sea level, on soil with a very mineral composition, medium-textured clayey limestone. The grapes are harvested when perfectly ripe, followed by natural decantation and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C, with maturation for a period of 3 months, always in steel on the fine lees.
In the glass it has a beautiful straw yellow color with greenish reflections. It releases a fresh and fruity aroma of Golden apple, pear and quince to the nose. In the mouth the taste is sapid, with balanced acidity and a fruity finish.
Also recommended as an aperitif, it goes perfectly with light appetizers and fish-based dishes.
