The Pinot Nero Riserva Alto Adige DOC of St Daniel, produced by the Colterenzio winery, represents an elegant expression of this grape variety in the heart of the Dolomites. Grown on the sunny slopes of Alto Adige, where temperature variations enhance the ripening of the grapes, this wine stands out for its balance between freshness and structure.

Carefully vinified and aged in wooden barrels, it offers a bouquet of small red fruits and spicy notes, accompanied by light herbal nuances and subtle vanilla hints. On the palate, it is soft and enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish that invites another sip.

Perfect with dishes based on white meats, delicate game, or aged cheeses, the Pinot Nero Riserva of Colterenzio embodies the elegance and complexity of Alto Adige wines, offering a refined and authentic sensory experience.

Winery history
Founded as a growers' cooperative in the Colterenzio/Schreckbichl area, the winery was established in 1960 by a group of local producers. In the years that followed, figures such as Luis Raifer drove a significant improvement in quality, initiating experiments on pilot vineyards that helped define the cooperative's identity and flagship selections.
Production philosophy
Teamwork among partners, careful vineyard selection and hand harvesting, reduced yields for premium selections, and a quality-focused approach. In recent years there has also been a clear commitment to sustainable practices and energy efficiency in the winery.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are located around Colterenzio/Cornaiano/Appiano and nearby areas, at altitudes of approximately 230–650 metres; partly morainic soils and the typical Alto Adige microclimates favour fresh, well-structured white wines.
Awards and recognitions
Among its principal accolades: the Sauvignon Riserva Gran Lafóa was awarded the 'Tre Bicchieri' and named 'Bianco dell'Anno' in the Vini d'Italia guide.
