The Glenmorangie 18Y Whisky, presented in an elegant gift box, is an exceptionally refined and complex Scottish distillate. Coming from the renowned Glenmorangie distillery, located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, this whisky has been aged for 18 years, resulting in a perfect balance between sweetness and aromatic complexity.
The aging process initially takes place in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a final period in Oloroso wine casks, which imparts additional hints of sweetness and spices to the whisky. On the nose, vibrant notes of ripe fruit, such as apricots and peaches, are revealed, accompanied by hints of almond and vanilla, thanks to the long rest in the oak barrels.
On the palate, Glenmorangie 18Y offers a smooth and silky texture, with a captivating palette of flavors that includes dark chocolate, caramel, and a touch of ginger, culminating in a long and pleasantly persistent finish, with hints of sweet spices and a slight smoky note. This whisky is a tribute to Glenmorangie’s craftsmanship, ideal to be enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to enhance all its nuances.
