The Volperara Veneto Rosso IGT produced by Giarola winery is a red wine that embodies the pure expression of the Veneto terroir, blending tradition and winemaking innovation. Characterized by a harmonious blend of native grapes, this wine offers an intriguing complexity, suitable for the most refined palates.

Visually, the Volperara presents itself with a deep ruby red color, enhanced by purplish reflections that hint at its youthfulness and vibrancy. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and persistent: notes of berries such as blackberries and raspberries blend with delicate spicy nuances and a slight vanilla touch, indicating elegant aging in wood.

On the palate, the Volperara surprises with its perfect balance between acidity and tannins, which are well-structured yet never overbearing. The taste is enveloping, with a pleasant aromatic persistence that echoes the olfactory complexity. This wine keeps pace with various culinary preparations, ideal for pairing with robust dishes such as roasted red meats, game, or aged cheeses.

Giarola winery, located in the heart of Veneto, commits to maintaining sustainable production methods, respecting nature and focusing on quality rather than quantity. This is clearly reflected in the Volperara, which is the result of careful selection of grapes and a winemaking process that honors the ancient wine traditions of the region.

This Volperara Veneto Rosso IGT is not just a wine, but a sensory experience that carries with it the history and culture of one of Italy's most renowned wine regions. Ideal for enjoying on special occasions or as a gift to wine lovers as an expression of true Italian craftsmanship.

Winery history
The Giarola family's land has been planted with vines since the early 20th century; many online sources cite 1923 as the year the family's agricultural activity began. Winemaking on a more organized scale was initiated by Umberto Giarola in the 1960s, and the estate subsequently modernized its vineyards and facilities while remaining family-run and expanding its international sales.
Production philosophy
The winery declares an approach rooted in respect for the environment and a love of nature, implementing vineyard practices to improve quality and sustainability and investing in technology for winemaking and storage.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is located in the hills of Palazzolo di Sona, in the immediate hinterland of Lake Garda. The soils are described as morainic of glacial origin, and the microclimate, moderated by the lake, is noted as a defining feature of the wines produced in the Bardolino and Custoza areas.
