The name "Amarone Fumetto Riserva DOC" suggests a quality Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva, but I must point out that the reference to "Bag in Cardboard" and the name "Fumetto" do not correspond to standard or recognized information for the presentation of Amarone wines or for Secondo Marco's productions. However, I can provide a general description that fits the context of a high-quality Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva, as it might be understood in the context of Secondo Marco's wine production.

Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva represents the pinnacle of quality and complexity that this historic Italian wine can offer. The Reserve version of an Amarone, in particular, is produced only in the best years, from grapes selected with extreme care, and then left to dry for a prolonged period before fermentation. This process concentrates not only the sugar of the grapes but also their aromas and acidity, resulting in a wine of extraordinary intensity and depth.

The wine is then matured in wooden barrels, often for a longer period than standard Amarone, which helps to further develop its aromatic complexity, enriching it with notes of spices, tobacco, chocolate and vanilla, as well as greater harmony and softness of tannins. The result is a wine of great structure, with a perfect balance between power and elegance, capable of evolving magnificently for decades.

The presentation in "Bag in Cardboard" is not traditionally associated with high quality wines such as Amarone Riserva, given that these wines are usually bottled in glass and presented in a wooden case or with packaging that highlights their prestige. However, innovations in packaging and presentation could be explored by forward-thinking manufacturers for practical, environmental or design reasons, whilst maintaining the high quality of the content.

Tasting an Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva, like the one produced by Secondo Marco, is a unique experience, which takes you through a journey of intense flavors and aromas, from ripe fruit to complex and evolved notes, making it ideal for special occasions or as a meditation wine . Paired with rich dishes, such as braised meats, stews, game or mature cheeses, Amarone Riserva reveals all its nuances, offering an unforgettable tasting experience.

Winery history
Secondo Marco is the personal project of Marco Speri, originated within the historic Speri family and established as an independent winery in 2008. The winery was founded to interpret Valpolicella according to Marco’s vision and taste, with a focus on grape selection and traditional techniques such as grape drying for Amarone.
Production philosophy
The winery aims to express the character of the terroir through an approach that combines tradition and research: careful vineyard management, hand selection of the bunches, use of appassimento and winemaking focused on preserving sapidity and the grape's aromas. For the Amarone, the winery states long, spontaneous fermentations without added yeasts. The emphasis is on organoleptic quality and territorial identity.
Terroir and vineyards
Valpolicella Classica from the municipality of Fumane. Vineyards lie at the foot of the valley on clay-limestone soils, with a microclimate influenced by winds from the Monti Lessini and Lake Garda.
