The Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Clos des Issarts" by Domaines Faiveley is a true Burgundy gem, embodying excellence and precision in the production of high-quality Pinot Noir wines. Located in the heart of the prestigious Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, the "Clos des Issarts" is a monopole of Domaines Faiveley, indicating that the entire vineyard is the exclusive property of the winery. This factor contributes to uncompromising quality control, from the vineyard to the bottle.

The "Clos des Issarts" vineyard stands out for its exceptional terroir, with limestone-clay soils that offer ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. These earthly characteristics, together with the optimal exposure and meticulous care of the vineyards, allow us to produce grapes of extraordinary concentration and complexity.

The winemaking and aging of Domaines Faiveley wines are known for their balance between tradition and innovation. For the "Clos des Issarts", this means a gentle fermentation to preserve the delicate aromatic nuances of the Pinot Noir, followed by aging in French oak barriques which helps to develop the structure and add subtle notes of spice and vanilla, without ever overpowering the purity of the fruit.

At sight, the Gevrey-Chambertin "Clos des Issarts" shows an intense and bright ruby red color. On the nose, the wine releases a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and raspberries, floral and spicy accents, and a mineral undertone that reflects the unique terroir of Gevrey-Chambertin.

In the mouth, the wine expresses extraordinary elegance and depth, with fine and well-integrated tannins that support a robust but harmonious structure. The acidity is lively and contributes to a long, persistent finish, where fruit flavors blend with earthy and mineral notes, a testament to the interaction between the grape variety and its growing environment.

Ideal in combination with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses, the "Clos des Issarts" is also an excellent meditation wine, which can be appreciated for its complexity and its ability to evolve in time.

The Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru "Clos des Issarts" by Domaines Faiveley is an emblematic example of Burgundy's viticultural mastery, offering a tasting experience that celebrates the nobility of Pinot Noir and the richness of the Gevrey-Chambertin terroir.
