The Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes by Domaines Faiveley is a wine that embodies the quintessence of Pinot Noir coming from the ancient vines of Gevrey-Chambertin, one of the most prestigious appellations of Burgundy. This wine, produced from old vines, is known for its concentration and depth of aromas, a result of the low yield of these venerable strains which transfer a unique and intense richness to the wine.

Domaines Faiveley, a winery with a long tradition and renowned experience in Burgundian viticulture and winemaking, treats the grapes from these old vines with the utmost care, ensuring that every aspect of the winemaking process is optimized to enhance the distinctive characteristics of the terroir and the grape variety. Faiveley's approach combines traditional methods with modern techniques, respecting the environment and placing emphasis on quality and territorial expression.

The vinification of Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes involves delicate fermentation, with the aim of preserving the natural aromas and complexity of the fruit. The refinement, carried out partially in French oak barriques, gives the wine structure and nuances of sweet spices, vanilla and light toasting, without overpowering the pure expression of Pinot Noir.

At sight, the wine shows a deep and seductive ruby red color. On the nose, Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes reveals a wide range of aromas: notes of ripe red and black fruits intertwine with floral, spicy accents and subtle hints of earth and mineral, which reflect the complexity given by the calcareous-clayey soil and from the age of the vines.

In the mouth, the wine surprises with its rich and enveloping structure, with finely worked tannins that blend into a dense and complex fabric. The balance between acidity and body is impeccable, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves room for refined minerality and hints of ripe fruit and spices.

Perfect in combination with red meats, game and mature cheeses, the Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes by Domaines Faiveley is also an excellent wine for meditation, capable of evolving and gaining further nuances of complexity with aging in the cellar.

Through Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, Domaines Faiveley offers a deep and intense expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir, celebrating Gevrey-Chambertin's viticultural heritage with a wine that speaks directly to the uniqueness of its terroir and the mastery of one of the cellars most emblematic of the region.
