This Meursault Premier Cru Blagny from Domaines Faiveley presents an elegant, measured profile, suited to those seeking a white wine of character without excess. On the nose it offers aromas of ripe white fruit, delicate citrus and light floral hints; the whole is supported by a mineral thread that provides freshness. On the palate it shows a balance between roundness and acidity, with a progression that favors delicacy of flavors over power, and a finish of discreet persistence.

It is a versatile bottle for refined cuisine pairings: it pairs well with more structured fish dishes, shellfish and preparations with butter or cream in moderate amounts, as well as light white meats and softer, not overly aged cheeses. Tasting at a cool but not icy temperature is recommended to appreciate the aromas without dulling the wine's finesse. The suggestion is aimed at those who prefer wines of good composure and measured expressiveness.

Notable Burgundian estate in Nuits‑Saint‑Georges led by the Faiveley family: a wine producer (Domaine) that also operates as a négociant, known for its Grand Cru wines and for wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Region: Burgundy
Country: France
Founded: 1825
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté
Long-established presence in Nuits‑Saint‑Georges and multi-generational family management. Extensive vineyard holdings across the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. Strong focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay; presence of monopoles and Grand Cru. Path toward more sustainable agricultural practices and conversion to organic farming
Winery history
The estate has been part of the Faiveley family since its origins: the original holdings were established in the 19th century in Nuits‑Saint‑Georges and the family progressively acquired parcels in Burgundy’s finest climats. Over the generations the domaine expanded its holdings by adding Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards and has maintained a dual role as both a domaine producer and a négociant. Today Erwan and Eve Faiveley lead the estate; in recent years the group has also extended its geographic presence and has begun transitioning to more environmentally friendly practices.
Production philosophy
Highlighting the terroir and the identity of the individual climats, the family adopts an approach focused on fruit quality, agronomic practices increasingly aimed at sustainability, and the use of technologies and experimentation to reduce environmental impact while preserving the character and expressiveness of the wines.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are primarily located in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, with holdings in Chablis. It owns parcels in numerous Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites and several historic monopoles. It also holds minority interests connected to Pinot Noir production in California.
