The Tignanello Rosso Toscana IGT 2013 Annate Storiche, produced by the renowned Tenuta Antinori, is a wine that has defined an era in the Tuscan wine scene. This label stands out as one of the first wines to experiment with the introduction of non-traditional grapes in the region and continues to represent one of the highest expressions of the blend of Sangiovese with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
In the 2013 vintage, we find an extraordinarily elegant and complex Tignanello. Visually, it presents a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a rich and multifaceted bouquet, with intensely fruity notes of blackberry and cherry, accompanied by hints of tobacco, vanilla, and chocolate, resulting from careful maturation in French and Hungarian barriques. On the palate, the wine expresses a robust but elegantly smoothed tannic structure, balanced acidity, and a long and persistent finish that leaves room for reflections of ripe fruit and spices.
This Tignanello is a symbol of refinement and is perfect for accompanying intense dishes such as braised meats, stews, or aged cheeses. A wine that continues to amaze for its ability to evolve magnificently over the years, promising a further explosion of flavors and aromas if properly aged in the cellar.
