This wine comes from the specific sub-area of Bussia, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, recognized for its ability to produce Barolo of extraordinary complexity and longevity.
The "Vigna Mondoca" is a particularly appreciated vineyard within Bussia, where the peculiar pedoclimatic conditions and careful agronomic management allow us to obtain superior quality Nebbiolo grapes. The "Riserva" designation indicates a prolonged period of refinement, which for this wine involves at least five years between barrel and bottle, thus allowing it to develop exceptional complexity and aromatic integrity.
Presented in Magnum format, which enhances its nobility and favors its evolution over time, the Barolo Bussia Vigna Mondoca Riserva di Oddero stands out for its deep garnet red color, with orange reflections that tend to intensify with aging. On the nose, it opens with a rich and complex bouquet, where notes of ripe red fruits, dried flowers, tobacco, spices and a light mineral vein emerge, a distinctive sign of the Bussia terroir.
In the mouth, the wine reveals a majestic structure, with dense but velvety tannins and an acidity that enhances its freshness and balance. The flavors are consistent with the sense of smell, evolving towards a long and persistent finish, which leaves room for a pleasant aromatic complexity and an elegant and refined aftertaste.
Ideal for accompanying dishes of great structure and intensity, such as grilled red meats, truffle-based dishes, game and mature cheeses, the Barolo Bussia Vigna Mondoca Riserva di Oddero is also a magnificent meditation wine, capable of offering a memorable and to evolve beautifully over the years.
