Château de Pez, counted among the historic vineyards of the Saint-Estèphe appellation in the Médoc, Bordeaux, boasts a long and rich history dating back to the 15th century, making it one of the oldest in the region. This prestigious estate is renowned for producing full-bodied, complex red wines that exemplify the depth and elegance characteristic of Saint-Estèphe.

The property extends over approximately 39 hectares, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a smaller presence of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. This varietal combination is quite typical for the Bordeaux area and allows Château de Pez to produce wines with a robust tannic structure, enriched by a wide aromatic range. The soil of the region, composed of gravel and clay, contributes not only to giving the wines a notable tannic structure but also to enhancing their aromatic complexity and aging potential.

The winemaking process at Château de Pez combines traditional techniques with modern innovations, aiming to enhance the pure expression of the terroir and varieties used. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, a practice that adds layers of complexity, toastiness and vanilla, beautifully balancing the richness of the fruit.

Upon tasting, Château de Pez presents itself with an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals rich and varied aromas of ripe black fruit, notes of spices, tobacco and a light mineral hint, typical of Saint-Estèphe wines. In the mouth, the wine reveals its true strength: a solid but elegant tannic structure, accompanied by an acidity that guarantees freshness and longevity, leading to a persistent and harmonious finish.

Château de Pez is a wine that pairs perfectly with intense dishes, such as grilled or roasted red meats, game dishes and mature cheeses. Its robust profile and aromatic complexity also make it an excellent candidate for aging, capable of developing further aromatic nuances and greater softness over the years.
