The Laphroaig Triple Wood 100cl - Tube is a captivating whisky, originating directly from the island of Islay, in Scotland, renowned for the production of peated whisky. This particular whisky undergoes a triple maturation process, giving it extraordinary complexity and unparalleled richness of aromas.
Initially, the Laphroaig Triple Wood matures in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, acquiring sweet vanilla notes and an intense smoothness. Subsequently, it is transferred to small American oak barrels that previously held whisky, intensifying the flavors and enriching its robust structure. Finally, the passage in European ex-Sherry Oloroso barrels adds a rich vein of dried fruit and spices, perfectly balancing the distinctive peat for which Laphroaig is famous.
The result is a whisky of great body and structure, with an aromatic profile that ranges from the smoky and peaty notes typical of Laphroaig to the sweeter and spicier notes of the wood and dried fruit. Every sip of the Triple Wood is a sensory journey through Scottish tradition and the art of distillation, making it a precious addition to any high-level spirits collection.

Distillation
Double distillation in copper pot stills (pot still); the plant comprises seven stills (3 wash, 4 spirit) with high lyne arms and cut points designed to preserve tarry and maritime notes.
Ageing
Maturation in oak casks in coastal warehouses; seasonal variation (expansion in summer, contraction in winter) promotes interaction between wood and spirit. Frequent use of ex-bourbon for the base with finishes or re-racking in different wood types for specific expressions.
