Winery history Altemasi

Altemasi is the Metodo Classico sparkling wine project developed and managed within the Cavit cooperative group. The winery dedicated to Altemasi production was built by Cavit as a facility specialized for Trentodoc wines and, according to the company press kit, was inaugurated in the early 1990s to showcase Trentino’s mountain bubbles.

Production philosophy

The style emphasizes slow lees evolution and the expression of high‑altitude terroir: extended time on the lees, careful grape selection and attention to altitude to produce elegant, fresh bubbles with good longevity.

Terroir and vineyards

Production based in Trentino: grapes grown on hillside and mountain vineyards, which provide temperature variation and acidity useful for Metodo Classico sparkling wines.

Awards and recognitions

The range, in particular the Riserva 'Graal', is repeatedly cited among awarded wines. Some vintages of Riserva Graal have received significant mentions such as the Tre Bicchieri and awards at international events; the winery/range also appears on the list of awarded wines published by Cavit.
