Winery history Asso di Denari

Asso di Denari began as a personal project of Daniele Gaia, who, after roughly 19 harvests working in prominent wineries in the Barolo area, launched his own label. The project is documented from the first commercial vintage, which resulted in an initial limited production of approximately 3,000 bottles.

Production philosophy

The approach emphasizes the expression of the Roero terroir through targeted winemaking and small-scale management; sources indicate sustainable practices and a focus on grape quality rather than production quantity.

Terroir and vineyards

The grapes come from the Roero, specifically from vineyards in Guarene d'Alba and the southern Roero area. Sandy soils with southeast exposure and an indicative altitude of about 300 metres are cited in the technical sheets as characteristics of the vineyard used for the Barbera.
