Winery history LoAlto

The Casa Lo Alto estate sits on a hill in Venta del Moro, in the Requena-Utiel comarca. Official sources report somewhat inconsistent historical information: the English version of the website refers to the vineyard’s establishment in 1794/1796, while a section of the Spanish site indicates the winery was founded in 1976. What is clearly documented is the acquisition of the estate by Bodegas Murviedro in 2017; since then the LoAlto project has been developed as a range focused on single-vineyard wines that express the terroir.

Production philosophy

An approach that places the fusion between vineyard and natural environment at its core: respectful farming practices, minimal intervention in the cellar, and the goal of expressing the typicity of each paraje in the bottle.

Terroir and vineyards

The finca is situated in Venta del Moro. Altitude is reported at around 750 metres; the soils are described as clay-limestone with a sedimentary calcareous matrix. The estate's landscape includes vineyards, almond groves and wooded areas that contribute to the site's biodiversity.

Awards and recognitions

Official sources report recent recognitions: the producer's news mentions a Gold Medal for Bobal in international competitions and high guide ratings.
