Winery history L'Orée du Sabia

The project began when Bastien Mousset returned to Vendée and established the estate. The producer’s website reports that work in the vineyard started around 2017, with a gradual conversion to organic and biodynamic methods, initial development of the parcels and subsequent expansion to the currently declared surface area. The name refers to its location at the edge of the local coastal towns.

Production philosophy

The winery declares an artisanal and precise approach: organic and biodynamic viticulture that respects the local ecosystem, a preference for manual work, fermentations with indigenous yeasts, and winemaking aimed at highlighting the varieties and terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Brem-sur-Mer, between the Vendée salt marshes and the Atlantic Ocean, the documented sites feature soils rich in quartz, schist and granite, with parcels named "Le Clos", "Les Grands Exploits" and others, some overlooking the ocean.
