Winery history Marotti Campi

The Marotti Campi family's ownership dates back to the mid-19th century; the first documented vineyards date from 1886. In the 1990s Giovanni Marotti Campi revitalised the estate's viticultural focus, reorganizing the vineyards and concentrating production on native grape varieties; the modern winery was built in 1999. Today management remains family-run, with Giovanni, Francesca and their son Lorenzo active in the business.

Production philosophy

The estate aims to enhance native grape varieties through low-impact practices and attentive vineyard and cellar management. Its philosophy combines respect for local tradition, artisanal care in the vineyard, and a commitment to both environmental and social sustainability.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the Sant'Amico hamlet, just outside the village of Morro d'Alba, the estate is situated on hills at about 180 m above sea level, with medium-textured soils tending toward clay; the land faces the Adriatic Riviera and falls within the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and DOC Lacrima di Morro d'Alba appellation areas.

Awards and recognitions

Various recognitions from guides and magazines: examples cited by the producer include placements in rankings such as the Wine Spectator Top 100, awards and high scores in Italian guides, and mentions in national roundups.
