Winery history Philippe Viallet (Maison Philippe Viallet)

The family history begins in 1966 when Marcel and Yvonne Viallet purchased the Clos Réservé in Apremont. After oenology studies in Beaune, their son Philippe Viallet joined the business in 1984 and established Maison Philippe Viallet in 1985 to promote the wines of Savoie. In 1988 he launched a bottling and packaging operation, and in 1998 he contributed to the creation of the S.I.C.A. "Fruitière des Vignerons des Terroirs de Savoie." In 2008 he acquired the historic estate "Les Fils de René Quenard" in Chignin; in more recent years the maison has expanded into export markets and additional regional ranges.

Production philosophy

Highlighting the Alpine terroirs and the characteristic grape varieties of Savoia through quality-focused practices, quality control and traceability from vineyard to bottle, with a commitment to sustainable practices and the preservation of local characteristics.

Terroir and vineyards

They operate mainly in Savoie, with headquarters at Le Clos Réservé, Apremont. They manage and market cru wines and local appellations such as Apremont and Chignin and work with grape varieties typical of the French Alps.
