Muyu

Muyu originated as a collective project by three international bartenders who, after an exploratory trip to the Amazon, collaborated with De Kuyper Royal Distillers to develop a small range of liqueurs. The brand was publicly introduced in early 2019 with three initial expressions (Jasmine Verte, Chinotto Nero, Vetiver Gris). The name “Muyu” derives from the Quechua word for “seed,” and the project was conceived with an explicit focus on biodiversity and responsible sourcing.

An approach that blends perfumery techniques and cocktail culture: compositions based on natural ingredients, respect for the biodiversity of raw materials, and a commitment to support NGOs and projects connected to the ecosystems that inspire the range.

Production and distribution linked to the Netherlands (industrial partnership with De Kuyper); aromatic inspiration and raw materials tied to Amazonian landscapes and aroma-producing areas in Europe (e.g. Grasse for some raw materials).
