The story
The Rhum Rhum project started as a collaboration between distillation expert Vittorio (Gianni) Capovilla and importer/bottler Velier (Luca Gargano). Production was launched in Marie‑Galante (Guadeloupe) with stills designed by Capovilla installed in local facilities (including periods using the Bielle distillery); the first PMG bottles appeared on the market in the late 2000s. In later years the brand also released aged bottles under the Liberation name and cask strength editions.
Production philosophy
To highlight the terroir of Marie‑Galante and local sugarcane varieties through distillates in the rhum agricole style; to showcase pure expressions (PMG) and release reserved/limited cuvées (Liberation).
