Meet the producer
The story
According to available information, the activity began in 1967 by Pasquale Staniscia, who started production with Amaro Duca d'Abruzzo. Over time the range expanded to include numerous liqueurs, ratafià and grappe; the Radix line was developed in recent years as a flagship range based on traditional Abruzzo recipes.
Production philosophy
To enhance traditional Abruzzo recipes by prioritizing natural ingredients and artisanal methods: prolonged plant maceration, no declared use of artificial flavorings or additives, and resting of preparations to integrate profile and roundness.
Territory
Abruzzo (province of Teramo); headquarters/operations reported in the area of San Nicolò a Tordino / Teramo.
Production method
Cold maceration (prolonged immersion of roots, herbs and flowers in alcohol, spring water or wine), followed by filtration and a resting period in steel or wood before bottling.
Ageing
Resting in steel or in wood for variable periods (e.g. 30–60 days for some references) after filtration.
