Tocai Friulano is a great native vine of Friuli-Venezia Giulia which has very ancient origins; it is cultivated throughout the region, starting from the hills, passing through the plain up to the sea. The Friulano of Tenuta Sant'Anna is born in the western high plain, an area which, given its particular characteristics, enhances the aroma and elegance of this wine to the maximum.

The terroir has an alluvial composition, with a prevalence of gravel and stony, defined in Friulian as "claps". The area where the vineyards are grown has a high night/day temperature range, this enhances the aromas and scents of the grapes to the fullest. A temperate climate which is favorably influenced by the presence of the Friulian Dolomites, because it is protected from the cold winds from the north, aided by the mitigating effect of the Adriatic Sea to the south.

The vinification begins with a soft pressing, and cold maceration for a few hours, this allows to keep all the fruity notes of the grapes. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with aging on the lees.

It has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The citrus note stands out on the nose mixed with the floral aromas of white wild flowers, jasmine and hints of almond. In the mouth the taste is decidedly fresh and sapid, with a very pleasant bitter almond finish.

It is recommended to pair it with fish-based dishes that are not too structured, and certainly try the combination with sweet raw ham.

Winery history
According to the official website, the winery was established in the 1960s on the border between Veneto and Friuli. Over time it has developed by integrating technological innovation and modern agronomic practices, establishing itself as an important presence in the Northeast and specializing, among other things, in the production of Prosecco and single-varietal wines.
Production philosophy
Production focused on everyday quality: wines to enjoy at the table every day, made with control over the entire supply chain from vineyard to bottle. The company highlights the expressiveness of individual grape varieties, product traceability, and the adoption of standards and monitoring tools to ensure quality and environmental responsibility.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and winery in Loncon di Annone. The vineyards range from the plain to hilly areas along the Veneto–Friuli border, with variable soils that create different microclimates. The company website indicates 150 hectares of property, while other pages mention 300 hectares divided among three estates and the group's organizational documents record further extensions referring to the group's combined estates; for this reason the surface area figures reported online vary.
