Alto - Bodega Alta Vista is an emblematic wine of Argentina, representative of the high enological quality achieved by the Alta Vista winery. Located at the foot of the Andes, in the prestigious wine region of Mendoza, Alta Vista is renowned for its ability to combine traditional viticulture methods with innovative winemaking techniques, creating wines that excellently express the terroir and varietal from which they come.

"Alto" is a wine that embodies Alta Vista's passion for Malbec, Argentina's iconic grape variety, selected from the company's best vineyards located at high altitude. These particular conditions, characterized by strong temperature variations between day and night, contribute to the development of grapes with extraordinary aromatic concentration and perfect maturation, key elements for the production of wines of exceptional quality.

The wine has an intense purplish red color, typical of high-end Malbecs. On the nose, the Alto offers a complex and seductive aromatic profile, with abundant notes of ripe red and black fruits, such as blackberries, plums and cherries, together with nuances of chocolate, vanilla and sweet spices, the result of aging in oak barriques French which adds elegance without overpowering the fruity character of the wine.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a rich and powerful structure, with soft and well-integrated tannins that support its opulence. The balance is impeccable, with a lively acidity that gives freshness and leads towards a long and persistent finish, characterized by a pleasant aromatic complexity and an aftertaste that invites another sip.

Ideal to accompany intense and tasty dishes, such as grilled red meats, rich stews and mature cheeses, Alto by Bodega Alta Vista is also an excellent wine for special occasions, capable of offering a memorable tasting experience and evolving beautifully over time if stored in the cellar.

Winery history

Terroir and vineyards
Alta Vista's vineyards are located in the prime areas of Mendoza and in some terroirs of Salta; they operate in high-altitude terroirs with an emphasis on soils and local microclimates, including areas such as Chacras de Coria and parcels in Valle de Uco.
