This Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG from Pasqua offers a rich, measured profile, aimed at those seeking a significant yet not overly ornate red. The color is deep; on the nose ripe fruit, jammy notes and sweet spices emerge, with balsamic accents that add complexity. On the palate the structure is full, tannins are present and well integrated, while the persistence allows for fruity returns and a slight bitter note that encourages food pairing.

It is presented in a wooden case, a practical solution for storage and gifting. I recommend serving slightly cooler than room temperature and, if possible, decanting to encourage the opening of aromas. It pairs with elaborated red meats, braises, game and aged cheeses; it stands up well to flavorful, complete dishes. It has a finesse that makes it suitable for both informal dinners and festive moments, without losing the typical character of Amarone.
