Ansonica Costa Toscana IGT àuricA by Folonari is a white wine presenting a bright straw-yellow colour. On the nose it shows notes of white-fleshed fruit, ripe citrus and light floral hints; the aromatic component is clear but not overpowering, leaving a clean, restrained profile. The àuricA bottle interprets Ansonica in a modern yet unforced way. The olfactory range stays on Mediterranean tones, without excess, suitable for those seeking a straightforward and easy-to-read wine.

On the palate it is fresh and fairly sapid, with a balanced structure that favours drinkability. The finish is moderately persistent, with citrus recalls and a slight minerality that adds to the pleasantness. It is best served chilled, around 8–10 °C, and pairs with light fish dishes, salads, vegetable-based appetizers and softly spiced Mediterranean cuisine. It is appropriate for everyday drinking and informal occasions, where simplicity and a clean flavour profile are appreciated. Its versatility also makes it suitable as an aperitif.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
