Baia al Vento Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2007 from Folonari, coming from the Campo al Mare parcel, shows a mature and restrained character. In the glass it displays a deep colour indicative of its age, and on the nose a complex profile: notes of ripe fruit, subtle spice and a slightly earthy thread that provide depth without excess. On the palate it is full-bodied, with tannins still perceptible and a balance between structure and freshness that warrants a careful, measured assessment.

It pairs naturally with red meat dishes, roasts and savoury preparations, as well as with robust aged cheeses. To bring out its qualities, serve at around 16–18 °C and favour a wide glass that allows its evolution to open. The wooden case packaging aids storage and presentation; it is recommended to inspect each bottle individually and attentively before serving.

Winery history
The Folonari family has deep roots in the Brescia area and has been involved in wine production since the late 18th century. At the end of the 19th century the headquarters were moved to Brescia, and in the early 20th century the family acquired the historic Ruffino winery. In the 1960s Nino Folonari began a shift toward quality with the acquisition of estates in Chianti. In 2000 Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari established Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute, which brings together several estates in Tuscany, while the Folonari brand offers an extensive range of table wines and appellation wines.
Production philosophy
Enhance the production areas, combine tradition and innovation, and focus on grape quality to produce wines that are distinctive and closely tied to their territory; the company's plan includes investments in the estates and attention to the diversity of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
Headquarters and estates are mainly in Tuscany, with production and a presence also in north-eastern regions such as Veneto and in areas like the Collio; the company’s history begins in the Bresciano and includes references to territories around Lake Garda and beyond.
Awards and recognitions
The "Vinitaly Territory Ambassador" award was presented to Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari Tenute.
