The Barbaresco DOCG by Albino Rocca is a red wine that represents an excellence of the Piedmontese wine scene, the result of the passion and experience of the Rocca family, who for generations has dedicated itself to the production of high quality wines. This Barbaresco, obtained from carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes, is a tribute to the winemaking tradition of the area, offering a rich and profound tasting experience.

The wine has a garnet red color typical of Nebbiolo, tending towards orange with aging. On the nose, Albino Rocca's Barbaresco offers a complex and fascinating bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, enriched by nuances of violet, spices, tobacco and a light balsamic hint, which adds elegance and depth to the olfactory profile .

In the mouth, the wine demonstrates a perfect balance between power and finesse, with silky and well-integrated tannins supporting a robust but harmonious structure. The acidity is lively, helping to keep the wine fresh and dynamic on the palate. The finish is long and persistent, with a return of spicy and fruity notes, which leaves a pleasant sensation of complexity and harmony.

Albino Rocca's Barbaresco is a wine that pairs beautifully with rich and structured dishes, such as red meats, game, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses. Its elegance and depth also make it an excellent meditation wine, capable of evolving and revealing new aromatic nuances with aging.

Winery history
The Rocca family's history has deep roots in local viticulture dating back to the 19th century. Commercial harvesting and sale of grapes began in the mid-1940s with Giacomo Rocca. In the 1960s, thanks to the inheritance of several vineyards, Albino Rocca established the estate, which then developed with the contribution of the next generation and consolidated as an internationally recognized producer. The estate is described as being managed by four generations, with progressive investment in vineyards and winemaking quality.
Production philosophy
The winery's approach places the land at the center: the goal is to produce wines that convey purity, elegance and the identity of each cru. The winery favors practices that enhance vineyard work and uses technology in service of respecting the terroir, seeking to reveal the grape's natural essence and allowing aging to highlight the wines' origin.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's vineyards are located primarily in the Barbaresco, Neive and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio areas. The estate cultivates and vinifies grapes from several historic crus, including Vigna Cottà, Ronchi, Ovello and Montersino.
