It represents one of the most prestigious labels of this denomination. It comes from a single vineyard located on calcareous-clayey marl soils with a significant presence of sand. The grapes are harvested when they are perfectly ripe, carefully selecting the best bunches which are sent to ferment in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures and a long maceration on the skins. The wine ages for at least 20 months in large oak barrels, and then completes its aging process in the bottle.
Barbaresco "Ovello Vigna Loreto" is an extraordinary expression of Nebbiolo, dedicated to those who appreciate its most elegant and sophisticated form.
It shows a light ruby red color with light garnet nuances, and gives the nose a refined bouquet of violets and dried flowers, underlined by hints of aromatic herbs. Notes of redcurrant, raspberry, morello cherry and delicate spicy and balsamic nuances also emerge.
At the first sip, it manifests itself with a fine tannic structure and complex, rich and deep aromas. The finish is remarkably persistent, characterized by balance, a pleasant saline note and a clear freshness that enlivens the whole.
