The Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore in Magnum format from Castello di Neive is a true celebration of the Barbera vine, one of the most representative and loved in Piedmont. This wine, presented in a magnum format which is equivalent to two standard bottles, is not only a sign of prestige and sharing, but also offers the ideal conditions for optimal ageing, allowing the wine to further develop its complexity and bouquet flavored over time.

The Neive Castle, with its deep-rooted traditions and its privileged position in the hills of Alba, carefully and dedicatedly cares for the vineyards from which the Barbera grapes for this "Superiore" wine come. This denomination indicates a higher level of quality, due in part to the longer aging period required for the wine, which usually includes a passage in oak barriques, enriching the wine with spicy and vanilla notes, as well as giving greater softness to the tannins.

Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore stands out for its lively and deep ruby red color, with reflections that tend towards purple. On the nose, it expresses a rich range of aromas ranging from ripe red fruit, such as cherries and plums, to more complex notes of sweet spices, chocolate and an elegant touch of wood, testifying to the balanced maturation in barrels.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a solid structure, supported by a lively acidity characteristic of the Barbera grape, which contributes to the freshness and length of the sip. The tannins are soft and well integrated, resulting in a harmonious and complex palate, with a persistent finish that leaves memories of ripe fruit and a light spiciness.

The Magnum format of Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore is particularly suitable for special occasions, where the wine becomes the protagonist of the table, accompanying traditional Piedmontese dishes such as red meats, game, mushroom-based dishes and medium-aged cheeses. The presentation in Magnum, in addition to ensuring a slower and more gradual evolution of the wine, also makes it a prestigious gift or a significant addition to any wine collection.
