Color Red
The Barbera DOC Pingo from La Stellara is an approachable red wine that directly conveys the varietal characteristics suggested by its name. In the glass it shows a bright ruby colour; on the nose there are aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by light spicy and floral notes. On the palate it has medium body supported by lively acidity, with tannins that are present but soft; the finish is clean and invites drinking. The drinking profile is balanced and immediate.

It is a versatile table wine, suitable with everyday dishes like cured meats, tomato-based pasta, white meats and semi-firm cheeses. Best enjoyed in the near term while the fruit remains central. Serve around 16–18 °C; decant briefly only if you wish to soften any initial olfactory reserve.

Winery history
La Stellara was born from the conversion of a cascina in the Colli Tortonesi into a small wine estate. The founders came to winemaking after diverse professional experiences and training in oenology and tasting; their research into Timorasso and the local terroir guided the establishment of the vineyard and production, with the first bottles released in limited quantities to enter the market.
Production philosophy
The estate states a respectful approach to the land and the local identity, with attention to quality in the vineyard and technical choices aimed at preserving the wines' aromas. The estate's narrative references integrated management and the desire to sincerely express the characteristics of Derthona/Timorasso.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is located in Volpedo, in the heart of the Colli Tortonesi. The area is described as part of the Colli Tortonesi, contiguous with the Langhe, and characterised by soils well suited to the expression of native grape varieties such as Timorasso.
